How do I install an Apache Modem in Windows 95?

Disable (or set to Auto) the "Second Serial Port" in CMOS, set the modem to COM 2 IRQ 3. Go to the Control Panel and "Add New Hardware". Click "Next". Click "No" and then click "Next". Scroll down until you find "Port". Click "Next". Select "Standard Port Type" and "Communications Port". Click "Next". Don't worry about assigning a port and IRQ. Reboot if necessary. Go back to "Add New Hardware". Let the computer find the new hardware automatically. Switch to "Device Manager" and change the port and IRQ settings to match the settings. Reboot your PC. Your modem should work. If it doesn't, call Tech Support at (602) 423-8533.
